Remote and Dangerous

Antarctica is an isolated and intrinsically high-risk environment. Strangers are thrown together 24x7. They live cheek by jowl and share work, meals & relaxation. There is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. It is harsh and the work is inherently dangerous. Physical and mental safety is paramount, but so is the requirement to meet targets, be productive and efficient.

The big difference is that once the ship leaves, you’re stuck in Antarctica for 9 months. No medivacs, no hospital – just you and your team.

Rachael Robertson faced these challenges head-on.  She created a safety culture that people lived by. She dealt with the intense scrutiny that comes from leading in isolation. She fashioned a team where safety was the first priority, and where everyone played a leadership role, regardless of title.

Rachael's keynote "Remote and Dangerous" is sought by organisations that want to energise and equip their people on workplace health and safety leadership.

Her presentation is memorable, full of hilarious stories and unique insights.
